In 2020, the Federal Reserve Board began releasing integrated data tables of the Community REInvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluations and lending activities for randomly selected banks. We find that after the data release, affected banks with poor historical CRA ratings show lower growth in retail deposits, but not wholesale deposits. This contrasts with the lack of reaction to the initial release of poor CRA ratings among retail deposits, but a negative reaction among wholesale deposits. The decline in retail deposit growth following the data release is more pronounced for banks with higher negative information intensity and a greater proportion of deposits with high educational attainment and community involvement. While affected banks with poor historical ratings increase mortgage approvals in CRA assessment areas following the data release, this comes at the cost of lower credit quality. Overall, our findings suggest the importance of considering information processing costs in improving stakeholder involvement.

T林宇鹏是新加坡国立大学商学院教授兼助理院长（学术研究）。他于2016年7月加入新加坡国立大学。在此之前，他曾任香港城市大学会计学助理教授。他的研究成果已发表在会计与金融领域的顶级期刊上，包括《The Accounting Review》、《Journal of Accounting Research》、《Journal of Accounting and Economics》、《Management SCIence》、《Organization Science》、《Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis》、《Review of Accounting Studies》、《Contemporary Accounting Research》、《Journal of Applied Psychology》和《Nature: Human Behaviour》。

讲座概述
This paper examines how the relative occupational status of mothers to fathers shapes individuals’ gender role attitudes. By leveraging the State-Owned Enterprise reform in China during the 1990s as a source of exogenous variation in parental occupational status, we employ an instrumental variable approach to identify the consequential impacts. Our findings reveal that an improved maternal occupational status compared to fathers leads to the development of more egalitarian gender role attitudes among their children. Moreover, for the offspring, their marriage matching patterns in terms of occupational status are strongly shaped, as indicated by the increased differences in occupational status between women and men. We further provide evidence on potential channels and highlight the role of intra-household bargaining power. Overall, this study underscores the importance of family socialization in fostering egalitarian gender role attitudes among the next generation.

; W/ Z0 x! @8 C9 H# f6 j+ ~( Q蔡澍教授现任暨南大学经济与社会研究院教授，研究领域为发展经济学、劳动经济学与健康经济学，重点关注人口流动、贫困问题、农村金融、健康老龄化及主观幸福感等议题。近期研究主要关注流动人口的就业与社会融入、返乡人员在乡村振兴中的作用，以及老龄化背景下的健康行为与福利保障。相关成果发表于《Journal of Development Economics》、《European Economic Review》、《Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization》、《Journal of Population Economics》、《Journal of Comparative Economics》等国际权威期刊。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年基金项目，以及广东省教育厅普通高校创新基金等多项课题。曾获当代经济学基金会“中国经济学优秀博士论文奖”、中国留美经济学会邹至庄最佳论文提名奖、广东省哲学社会科学优秀成果奖等。
